Best dive-season / How to get there: Wetsuit Season - September-May. Outside these months water temp is around 8 degs C.

The Tree Stumps is an Altitude Dive in Lake Hawea at 345m. This dive site offer some unique diving. Easily accessible by shore and a large area to dive.

The tree stumps site is where they cut the trees down when they raised the lake level. The soil has eroded and now vast root systems are visible above the lake bed. These roots spread out in all directions creating a very unusual and errie dive.
