The HMNZS Tui was a New Zealand minesweeper and submarine hunter nowadays sitting in deep waters just north of Tutukaka Heads.

Formerly a US Navy ship, the Tui was designed for hydrological survey and submarine hunting spy work and protected New Zealand's anti nuclear protest fleet at Mururoa. At 62 meters long she now lies in 30 meters of water just 2km north of Tutukaka Heads. Easily penetrated through purpose cut access points, explore the control room, bridge, crew living quarters and engine rooms via established routes. It is a very enjoyable dive for all levels of divers.
