Reached out of Picton, just offshore Karaka Point, the narrow edge of land between Waikawa Bay and Whatamango Bay, is where you find the wreck dive site Vara Wreck. Scuttled in May 1986 . Popular sites are the huge conger eels called Doris and Boris, but you can also spot cod, crayfish, blue cods and scallops.
