Leask Bay is a small bay just east of Oban, Stewart Island's main settlement, and offers an excellent shore dive. Most divers set up their gear at the east side of the beach and also enter the water there. You will be diving amongst tall kelp forest, anemones, crayfish, blue cods and even wrasses. If you are very lucky, a seal or sea lion might want to play a little.
